The artist lovingly creates
the elements in her hands:

    the steel grey stone worn by winter’s snows,
    the autumnal hills of plum and gold,
    the evening kissed skies of azalea pink.

This is her palette, the seasons
ever changing, ever remaining:

    the chocolate earth under anita red suns,
    the botany rush of spruce green springs,
    the red current ripeness of the berry tree.

With each stitch in the yarn she knits,
she softly embodies the natural world.
