Starting & running a creative business is a challenging thing to do.

Sarah McNicol from The Hive, NTU's business incubation centre will teach some simple ways to help you be more effective and enjoy your
successes.

These workshops are open to anyone running a creative business, working in a creative business or undertaking creative projects.

NEWS! Lace Inspired Printmaking, Ceramics & Book Binding Design Workshops at Debbie Bryan Studio & Shop

Our Design Workshops are part of Creative October.  

The Creative October Design Workshops include Tea & Handmade Traditional Biscuits & Cake and all materials and equipment you will need.

Design Workshop Places can be booked in person at Debbie Bryan Shop & Studio, 18 St. Mary's Gate, The Lace Market, Nottingham,ng1 1pf  or over the phone 0115 9507776  Mon-Sat 12 till 6pm

Nicki Dennet Lace Inspired Design Workshop

Nicki Dennet Collagraph Printmaking, £40 

Saturday 16th October, 11am - 5pm

Make your own beautiful collagraph prints to take home. These can be made into cards for a special someone or mounted and framed for your wall.

Throughout the morning you will create your own printing plates using carborundum grit to give random or painterly areas, scratching and ripping the surface to give depth and tone and fine drypoint lines to give detail if you wish.

In the afternoon you will print the plates using colourful water based inks. Collaged papers can be incorporated at this stage adding extra texture and interest to your print.

Please bring an old shirt or apron to protect your clothing.

Using Nottingham Lace as your inspiration. This beautiful lace produces wonderful surface patterns and texture when used with this tactile material.
